Q.
I have numerous medical conditions and I’m feeling overwhelmed with all the doctors I have to see, appointments I have to make and medications I have to take. I need some help taking care of this and getting organized. It is stressful. Can Gold RN help?
A.
That is exactly what Gold RN does. We will assist you in care management which can include making appointments that work for your schedule, setting up a system that makes keeping track of the appointments more manageable, design a medication system that feels easier to comply with and create a database that makes it simple to know what medications you are taking, when they should be taken, what each one is for, who prescribed it and any other education. We will also organize your doctors, their specialties, names, numbers, addresses etc. to ensure you have what you need to feel less stressed, more in control of your care and more at ease.
Q.
I’m going into the hospital for a procedure but I’m nervous and don’t know what to expect. Can Gold RN help?
A.
Yes! Gold RN can come to you, educate you on the procedure and all that is entailed with it, reach out to your provider to get any remaining questions answered, provide support, and even provide transportation to and from the procedure as well as aftercare and follow up assistance.

Questions about Family Member Care

Q.
My loved one is in the hospital and I need help figuring out what decisions to make and how to remain focused with my whole family constantly contacting me and telling me what I should do. How can Gold RN help?
A.
With the client’s and your permission, Gold RN can come to the hospital and speak with the providers and case managers, set up meetings with the providers and family and explain in greater and longer detail the providers recommendations. Together, we can assist you in making the best decision for you.

Gold RN can also be your family liaison and coordinate visitation, relay information to those granted permission to receive it, and give you peace of mind. 
Q.
My parents are aging and refuse to go to assisted living. I feel like they need more than I can give them. 
How can Gold RN help?
A.
Gold RN is happy to have a consultation with your parents, and you, together or separate, and find out what their needs are, what areas they struggle with and what safety measures should be implemented. We are happy to provide whatever care and support they may need, knowing it can change quickly at any moment. Gold RN can also be “on call” for you and your family. Lastly, we can assist you in finding the right fit for them should they decide to consider to pursue assisted living.
Q.
My family is traveling with my fraile mother who has dementia. Would Gold RN accompany us on our trip to assist with my mother?
A.
Gold RN is happy to travel with a client to assist with any needs they may have. Gold RN can accompany clients in cars, trains, planes, boats etc, and go with you wherever you need. A private nurse will be happy to assist your mother and enable your family to enjoy their trip stress free knowing Gold RN is by your side.

Postoperative / Post Injury Care from Gold RN

Q.
I will be having plastic surgery. Can Gold RN provide in-home care post operation?
A.
Absolutely! Gold RN can come to you for as long as you like, and assist with pain management, monitor for infection, provide physician authorized IV therapy, change bandages, drain tubes and help with daily activities until you feel able to do it yourself.
Q.
I was in a car accident and cannot take care of myself for a month. Will Gold RN come help?
A.
Without a doubt. Often those with injuries that will heal, do not need or want to go to rehab, but need in home assistance. Gold RN can provide services ranging from basic needs such as assistance with eating, bathing, and using the bathroom, to administering and tracking medications, running errands, taking you to your follow up appointments, help manage the household, and more!
Q.
I have a wound that needs daily care but I am otherwise healthy. Will Gold RN come help with that?
A.
Yes, we are happy to come for short visits to administer wound care, antibiotics, or any other care you may need.
Q.
I was discharged from the hospital with a PICC line for antibiotics. Are you able to come twice a day to give them to me via the PICC line?
A.
Gold RN will happily come administer prescribed antibiotics through an IV, PICC line, Port, etc for as long as you need, as often as you need.

A.
Currently Gold RN does not accept insurance. We are a self pay service but have several ways we accept payment. Please feel free to reach out for more information.
